During the initial consultation, Dr. Kryger will take a thorough history and discuss with you what your specific desires and concerns are. He will take measurements and go through the various decisions that the two of you will make together. Namely, where to place the incision, whether to put the implant behind or in front of the muscle, which type of implant to use, which shape to use and most important, what size is best suited for you. He will then go over the risks of surgery, and what issues might pertain specifically to you. Following your consultation with him, you will meet our patient care coordinator. She will discuss pricing, payment options, scheduling and any preoperative testing that the doctor has requested.
Many patients will return for a second complimentary preoperative visit. At that time, the final implants will be chosen, photographs will be taken, the paperwork for the surgery center and prescriptions given, and any remaining payment or scheduling issues clarified. This is also a good opportunity to ask Dr. Kryger any remaining questions about the surgery. Patients are encouraged to bring their spouses, significant other, or close friend to this visit.
