Hand Surgery: Work Injuries
Many hand injuries occur on the job. Most companies will have some form of workman's compensation (workman's comp) program to help employees injured on the job. If your hand injury occurred at work, you
should find out if you qualify for workman's comp. At the Kryger Institute of Plastic Surgery, we treat many patients injured at work. Our goal is to get you back to work as quickly as possible without compromising your
healing and recovery. We understand that some people heal slower than others, and the recover from a hand injury can range from days to months. We believe in the importance of hand therapy as an important
component in the recovery from any hand injury.
Our surgeons also offer independent medical evaluations (IME) for patients injured at work. Contact our office to determine if we may be able to offer you such an evaluation. Our hand fellowship-trained surgeon,
Gil Kryger, md, directs the hand clinic at the Kryger Institute of Plastic Surgery and will make sure that the appropriate treatment is chosen for you.
